Sunday Question

with 12 comments

During the game on Saturday, I don’t know how we got on the subject, but we started showing odd little things about ourselves… for example, J’s arm looks really odd when she extends it a certain way. D can’t curl her tongue. Some folks can touch their tongue to their nose. I can put my thumb behind the knuckle of my index finger. Most of us have things we can do that we discovered in happenstance, on a dare, or just by being born that way.

What’s something about you like that?

  1. Y’all are scaring me again.

To answer the question – nothing!

  2. I can roll up my tongue. I can do an “Elvis” sneer with one side of my mouth, but not the other. I can wiggle my ears. Is that good enough?

  3. Curling my tongue is the only slightly odd thing I can do, but it’s not that impressive at parties since a lot of people can do that. 😛

  7. I can roll my tongue and wiggle my ears (quite nicely, thankyouverymuch!). I can also bend my left index finger at the top knuckle while the rest of the finger is straight (ooooh….aaahh….). And I can roll my ankle and make it pop and crackle until everyone in the room gets the heebee-jeebees.

  8. Eric…eeeewww…I got the heebee-jeebees just thinking about your ankle. I guess sometimes when I let people feel the plate in my arm they get weirded out too (from a bicycle accident).

  9. So does that plate in your arm set off the metal detectors at the airport? My Dad has 2 artificial hips, both titanium, and he sets them off.

  10. No it doesn’t. I guess it is not enough metal. Sometimes I get selected to go to the high security line and any wand scan thingy will set it off. So far I’ve just shown them the scar and they let me through. I guess your dad has to bring a doctor’s note, bummer.
