Good Dinner

logo_left.gifWhen I come across a place where the food is excellent, I want to share it!

Now granted, I don’t eat out at gourmet restaurants very often, but last night, Sherrie and I decide to try out a restaurant recommended to us by my friend, Dianne. The restaurant, Muss and Turner’s, is on Cumberland Blvd. near its intersection with Atlanta Road.

Anyway, it was a bit pricey, but not outrageous. The menu changes every three weeks, so what I’m telling you about here might be gone by time any of you decide to visit.

Sherrie had Cilantro Lime Braised Pork—Tender pork served over Mexican style black beans with jicama pineapple slaw for 16.93, and I had the New Zealand King Salmon—Celery root puree, carmelized pearl onions, vegetables a la jardinière for 21.03. (Yes, I copied that right from the menu.) We both tried each others’ dinners, and while the pork was good, I was very pleased with my salmon. And the puree that was with it was delectable!!

We also had Irish Creme Cheesecake with a couple cups of coffee to finish off the meal. All in all, a very enjoyable dining adventure. The atmosphere was casual, and as it filled up, it got a little noisy, but not raucous, kid-noisy, just the noisyness of talking. (There was a fairly large outside-seating area, so it would be nice and less noisy to eat out there during good weather.) The manager was very attentive and helpful. Service was good and presentation of the food was great with generous portions. Give it a visit if you have time and inclination. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
